Creative-In-Residence
@ BeeWorthy Farms
The Creative-in-Residence is a seasonal invitation to BeeWorthy Farms to explore your craft through connection with the land, flowers, herbs, and community. This residency is open to florists, herbalists, artists, makers, and nature-based creatives who draw inspiration from plants and want to cultivate work rooted in beauty, ecology, and community care.
Over the course of 6-weeks, the Creative-in-Residence will have access to our crafting areas and seasonal gardens, with the ability to harvest flowers and herbs for personal or professional use in reasonable amounts coordinated with the farm team to ensure sustainability.
Residents will receive a $300 stipend and will lead 2, 50-minute, hands-on workshop for our Bloom Club members. You are also welcome to offer a partnered public workshop with BeeWorthy Farms. Herbalists are invited to teach in our Growing Equities grant-funded workshop series where we offer free and reduced price workshops to low income families within our Encinitas Union School District.
As part of the residency, the Creative-in-Residence will collaborate with BeeWorthy Farms’ Outreach Assistant to create a short reel or social media feature, highlighting the value of using local flowers and herbs, and sharing their unique creative practice. This helps amplify our shared mission of encouraging community connection, celebrating the local landscape, and supporting small farms and gardens. We welcome you to share your experience and ask that content created on the farm to please mention @beeworthyfarms.
Please note, that artists live off-site
